Installing NDCTL

The ndctl utility is used to manage the libnvdimm (non-volatile memory device) sub-system in the Linux Kernel. It is required for certain Persistent Memory Developer Kit (PMDK) features.

Microsoft Windows users should read the Understand and Deploy Persistent Memory documentation.

The ndctl utility can be installed on Linux using either of the two options:

• Install ndctl using packages

• Install ndctl using the source code
